CRE — Topic: Creation
Subtopic: God's Plan for Redemption
God made the world and everything in it. But when people chose to disobey God (the Fall), sin broke the good friendship between God and humans. From that moment God had a plan to bring people back to Him — this is called redemption. Redemption means God saves and restores people so they can be close to Him again.
Key points for a 13-year-old to remember
- God is loving and powerful: He made everything and still cares for you.
- Sin caused separation: Wrong choices hurt our relationship with God and others.
- God promised a rescuer: Through the Bible God showed that He would save people.
- Jesus is the rescue: His life, death and resurrection make it possible to be restored to God.
- Redemption is for everyone: People in Kenya — from your town or village to big cities — can receive this gift by trusting Jesus.
Think of a phone that gets broken. The maker fixes it and gives it back like new. Redemption is God fixing the broken friendship between Him and people. He does this not because we deserve it but because He loves us.
