CRE Notes — Family

Subtopic: Test 1 | Age: 6 (Kenya)

What is a family? ❤️🏠

A family is people who live together and love one another. God made families to care for each other.

In Kenya we may say: Mama (mother), Baba (father), kaka (brother), dada (sister), grandma, grandpa.

Family members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

  • Mother (Mama) — loves and cares for children 🧑‍🍼
  • Father (Baba) — protects and provides for the family 🛠️
  • Brother (Kaka) and Sister (Dada) — brothers and sisters play and help each other 🤝
  • Grandparents — teach us stories and pray for us 👵👴

What families do ✨

Families do many kind things:

  • Love each other ❤️
  • Share food and help each other 🍲
  • Pray together and go to church 🙏⛪
  • Teach good manners and obey parents ✅

What the Bible teaches 📖

God loves families. Jesus said we must love one another. The Bible tells children to obey their parents (Ephesians 6:1).
