CRE: God's love — The love of God ❤️

We will learn that God loves every person. God cares for us like a loving parent. (Simple Kiswahili: Mungu anakupenda.)

Short teaching (for children age 6)

• God loves you. He made you and cares for you. 😊
• God shows love when people help each other, when parents care, and when Jesus taught us to be kind.
• We can show God's love by sharing, praying, and being kind to friends and family.

A simple Bible verse

John 3:16 (simple): "God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, Jesus." — Tell the verse with teacher help. 📖

Specific Learning Outcomes (SLOs)

1. Say: "God loves me" and "Mungu anakupenda".
2. Name one way God shows love (e.g., family, food, Jesus' teachings).
3. Recite or repeat the short Bible verse with help (John 3:16 simple).
4. Draw a picture or make a heart craft to show God's love.

Suggested Learning Experiences (for classroom / Sunday school)

• Story time: Read a short story about Jesus loving children (use picture Bible). Ask simple questions: "How did Jesus show love?" 📖
• Song: Teach a short song about God's love. Let children clap and sing together. 🎶
• Craft: Make paper hearts. Children draw people they love and write "Mungu anakupenda" on the heart. 🎨
• Role play: Practice sharing and helping (share a toy or help tie shoes). Praise kind actions. 🤝
• Memory verse game: Repeat the short verse in parts. Use movement (stand up, sit) to help memory.

• Listen as children sing the verse or repeat the short Bible sentence.
