Grammar focus (核心语法) 🔎
Pattern: Subject + 喜欢 / 爱 / 不喜欢 + (Activity / Noun)
Add degree: 很 (hěn), 非常 (fēicháng), 特别 (tèbié)
Examples:
我很喜欢踢足球。 (Wǒ hěn xǐhuan tī zúqiú.) — I really like playing football.
她不喜欢看恐怖片。 (Tā bù xǐhuan kàn kǒngbù piàn.) — She doesn't like watching horror movies.
Use verb + 过 to say one has had the experience.
Examples:
我去过动物园,也去过海滩。 (Wǒ qù guo dòngwùyuán, yě qù guo hǎitān.) — I have been to the zoo and the beach.
Use verb + 得 + complement to describe how an action was done:
Examples:
我们玩得很开心。 (Wǒmen wán de hěn kāixīn.) — We had a lot of fun.
他跑得很快。 (Tā pǎo de hěn kuài.) — He runs fast.
Use conjunctions to make longer written texts and show reason, addition, contrast.
Examples:
因为天气好,所以我们去公园。 (Yīnwèi tiānqì hǎo, suǒyǐ wǒmen qù gōngyuán.) — Because the weather was nice, we went to the park.
我喜欢音乐,并且我会弹吉他。 (Wǒ xǐhuan yīnyuè, bìngqiě wǒ huì tán jítā.) — I like music, and I can play the guitar.
我想去海滩,但是我要做功课。 (Wǒ xiǎng qù hǎitān, dànshì wǒ yào zuò gōngkè.) — I want to go to the beach, but I must do homework.
- Use 地 after adverbial phrase: 他高兴地唱歌。 (Tā gāoxìng de chànggē.) — He sings happily.
- Use 的 for modifiers before nouns: 好玩的游戏 (hǎowán de yóuxì) — fun games.

Jīntiān shì zhōumò, wǒ hé péngyou qùle gōngyuán. Yīnwèi tiānqì hěn hǎo, suǒyǐ wǒmen wán de hěn kāixīn. Wǒmen tī zúqiú, pāizhào, hái chīle bīngqílín. Wǒ fēicháng xǐhuan hé péngyou yìqǐ wán, bìngqiě wǒ xīwàng xià gè zhōumò zài qù.

Scoring tip: 8–10 points = very good (accurate use of grammar + vocabulary), 5–7 = satisfactory (some errors but meaning clear), <5 = needs more practice (frequent grammar mistakes).
- 记住: Verb + 过 = experience; Verb + 得 + adjective = how action happened.
- 的 (before noun) vs 地 (after adverb) vs 得 (after verb) — pay attention to position.
- Use 因为…所以… to explain reasons; use 并且 / 但是 to add or contrast ideas.
