  • Basic SVO: 我 (S) 爱 (V) 我的家 (O). Example: 我住在村里。Wǒ zhù zài cūn lǐ. (I live in the village.)
  • Location: Time + Place + Manner + Verb 常见顺序:时间 — 地点 — 动词。Example: 我每天在公园跑步。(Wǒ měitiān zài gōngyuán pǎobù.)
  • Existence pattern: [Place] + 有 + [Thing]. Example: 我家附近有一个市场。(Wǒ jiā fùjìn yǒu yí gè shìchǎng.)
  • Location structure: Subject + 在 + Place + (的) + Position。Example: 图书馆在学校旁边。(Túshūguǎn zài xuéxiào pángbiān.)
  • Adjective before noun: 好的老师, 美丽的公园。Use "的" after adjective when it modifies a noun. Or with short adjective can omit: 很漂亮的树 / 漂亮的树。
  • Time connectors (for narratives): 先...然后...最后..., and cause-effect 因为...所以... .
  • Negation: 没有/不。Example: 这里没有工厂。/ 我不在家。

3. Categories of guided writing (写作类别 & grammar focus)

  • 描写 (Descriptive) — use adjectives, 的-structure, location phrases. Sentence templates: 我家附近有...,那儿的...很....
  • 叙述 (Narrative) — use time words, sequence words (先,然后,最后), past events use 了/过 where appropriate.
  • 说明 (Expository/informative) — use topic sentence, examples (比如/例如), connectors (因为/所以); keep SVO and logical ordering.
  • 应用文/对话 (Functional / Dialogue) — short notices, messages: use direct sentences (地点/时间/人物开头), polite forms 请/谢谢.

4. Mechanics of writing (书写技巧) — focus on Chinese characters

  • 笔顺 (stroke order): Always follow standard stroke order — improves speed and recognition. (先横后竖,先撇后捺等)。
  • 字形与结构:注意偏旁、部首的位置。把字写进田字格或方格本保持结构对称。
  • 大小与间距:每个字大小一致,行与行间距适中,避免连笔造成难认。
  • 标点符号:使用中文标点(。 , ? ! : “ ” 、);句末用句号而不是英文点。
  • 复查:写完后读一遍,检查主谓宾是否完整,量词是否正确,时间地点是否清楚。

Practical tip: Use squared paper (田字格/方格本) for characters and practice new characters 10 times each, paying attention to stroke order and radical placement.

Chinese:

我家附近有一个大公园。公园里有很多树和花。每天早上,很多人去公园跑步,有时还能看到小鸟在树上唱歌。公园旁边有一个小市场,周末有很多摊位卖水果和小吃。这里很安静,也很方便。

Pinyin (pronunciation):

Wǒ jiā fùjìn yǒu yí gè dà gōngyuán. Gōngyuán lǐ yǒu hěn duō shù hé huā. Měitiān zǎoshang, hěn duō rén qù gōngyuán pǎobù, yǒu shí hái néng kàn dào xiǎo niǎo zài shù shàng chànggē. Gōngyuán pángbiān yǒu yí gè xiǎo shìchǎng, zhōumò yǒu hěn duō tānwèi mài shuǐguǒ hé xiǎochī. Zhèlǐ hěn ānjìng, yě hěn fāngbiàn.

Grammar notes: "我家附近有..." uses place + 有 to show existence. "公园里有..." place+里 shows inside. Adjectives (大, 安静, 方便) before nouns or after verbs with 很. Time expression "每天早上" appears at the beginning (time + place + verb).

6. Guided writing steps & sentence starters (写作步骤与开头句)

  1. Plan: 列出地点、物品、活动、时间(在草稿上写关键词)。
  2. Choose structure: 描写 / 叙述 / 说明(pick one category)。
  3. Use sentence starters and connectors to build 4–8 sentences.
  4. Write neatly in squared paper, check stroke order and punctuation.
