Guided paragraph — 写作示范 (aim 5–8 句)

Title 标题: 我的身体 (Wǒ de shēntǐ)

我有两只眼睛和两只耳朵。我有一头黑色的头发。我的手很灵活,可以写字和画画。我不高,但是我很健康。我的腿很强壮,我喜欢跑步。

(Notes: contains possession 我的, 有, measure words 两只, 一头, adjectives 很/不, reason of action omitted — good model for age 13.)

Orthography — rules of writing (汉字、拼音与标点规则)

  • Characters (汉字): write characters using the correct stroke order — improves speed and legibility. Follow common rules:
    • Top → bottom (上先写)
    • Left → right (左先写)
    • Horizontal → vertical (横先于竖)
    • Outside frame → inside → close frame last (先外围,后内部,最后封口)
  • Pinyin and tone marks (拼音声调): when writing pinyin put the tone mark over the main vowel: ā, á, ǎ, à. Use pinyin for drafting if students are still learning characters.
  • Punctuation (标点): Chinese uses full-width punctuation such as 。 , ? ! : “ ” ( ) — use them correctly. Example: 我有两只眼睛。我喜欢跑步。
  • Spacing: Standard Chinese text has no spaces between characters. For beginner drafts you may separate words with a small space to show word boundaries, but in final work avoid unnecessary spaces.

Legibility & handwriting tips (书写与可读性)

  • Practice stroke order: write each new character 5–10 times focusing on correct strokes, not speed.
  • Keep characters similar in size and aligned in rows — use squared practice paper (田字格) if available.
  • Pressure and pen direction: clear strokes (not too light, not blotchy) help teachers read your work.
  • Check common confusions: e.g., 的 / 得 / 地 — remember: 的 (possession), 得 (verb complement), 地 (adverbial marker).

Suggested guided activities (适合13岁学生的活动)

  1. Vocabulary warm-up: label the diagram in Chinese (character + pinyin).
  2. Fill-in-the-gaps: short sentences where students supply measure words and adjectives.
  3. Guided writing: write a 5–8 sentence paragraph "我的身体" using at least 6 body parts, include 我的, 有, measure words, one negation, and one question.
  4. Peer check: swap paragraphs and check stroke order, punctuation, and whether each has required grammar features.
  5. Handwriting practice: copy the paragraph twice using correct stroke order and neat spacing.

Short writing prompt (写作练习)

请写一段 5–8 句的短文:题目《我的身体》。要点:
  • 包含至少 6 个身体部位的词(用汉字写)
  • 使用“我的/有/很/不/几/两/一/只/条/张”等结构
  • 句子用正确的标点并注意笔顺与字体整洁

Quick assessment checklist for teacher

  • Vocabulary: used at least 6 correct body words (汉字正确) — ✓/✗
  • Grammar: correct use of 我的, 有, measure words, negation, questions — ✓/✗
  • Conventions: appropriate punctuation, sentence structure, connectors — ✓/✗
  • Orthography: stroke order followed, character shapes recognisable — ✓/✗
  • Legibility: lines straight, characters consistent size, easy to read — ✓/✗
Tip: Give one specific correction and one praise comment (e.g., "很好:用词齐全。改进:‘腿’的最后一笔要注意笔顺。").
Notes: Use simplified characters for classroom work unless your school follows traditional characters. Encourage pinyin in early drafts but require characters in final submission.
