Hello! These are simple safety tips to keep you clean and healthy. Ask a grown-up (mama, baba, or teacher) to help you.
- π§Όπ§ Wash hands β Wash with soap and clean water after the toilet and before eating. Scrub for 20 seconds (sing a short song).
- π½ Use the latrine or toilet β Always use a clean toilet or latrine. Wash hands after you go.
- π½οΈπ¦ Keep food safe β Eat food that is clean and covered. Do not eat food that fell on the ground.
- π§π« Drink clean water β Boiled or treated water is safer. If you are not sure, ask a grown-up to make it safe.
- β𧽠Don't share towels or toothbrushes β Use your own towel and toothbrush to stop germs spreading.
- βοΈ Keep nails short β Cut your nails often so dirt and germs do not hide under them.
- π©Ή Cover cuts and sores β If you get a cut, clean it and cover it with a clean cloth or bandage. Tell a grown-up.
- π·π€§ Cover coughs and sneezes β Use your elbow or a tissue. Throw the tissue away and wash your hands.
- π§Ί Wear clean clothes β Change into clean clothes after they get dirty or wet.
- ποΈπ¦ Sleep under a mosquito net β This helps stop bites and keeps you healthy (ask a grown-up to help hang it).
- π« Stay away from dirty water or drains β Dirty water can make you sick. Tell a grown-up if you see it.
Let's practice! Tick the box when you do each thing:
