CRE: Creation

Subtopic: Creation of the Sky, Moon and Stars 🌤️🌙⭐

Story in simple words: On the fourth day God made the sky full of lights. He made the sun for day, and the moon and stars for night. The Bible tells us this in Genesis 1:14–19. God made them to give light and to help us know time (days, months, years).

Key points

  • God made the sky, the moon and the stars on the fourth day.
  • The sun gives light in the day; the moon and stars give light at night.
  • The moon changes shape — we call these phases: full moon, half moon and new moon.
  • In Kenya we can look up at beautiful stars and the moon on clear nights.
