What is the Bible?
The Bible is God’s holy book. It tells about God, Jesus, how to live, and how God loves us. It is made of many smaller books.
Two main parts

Old Testament (OT)

The OT tells about the beginning of the world, the people of Israel, laws, songs and prophets.
- Genesis — God made the world.
- Exodus — Moses and the journey from Egypt.
- Psalms — Songs and prayers.
- Proverbs — Wise sayings.

New Testament (NT)

The NT tells about the life of Jesus, the first Christians, letters to churches, and the future.
- Matthew, Mark, Luke, John — stories about Jesus.
- Acts — how the church began.
- Letters (like Romans) — teachers' letters to Christians.
- Revelation — a vision of God’s victory.
Easy way to remember
OT = Old stories and laws (before Jesus).
NT = New stories about Jesus and the church (after Jesus).
Total books we learn here: 39 + 27 = 66 books.
Fun activities
- Draw two big books on a paper. Write "OT" on one and "NT" on the other. Color them different colors.
- Sing a short song about Bible stories you know (Noah, Moses, Jesus).
- Ask a teacher: "Which book tells about Jesus' birth?" (Answer: Matthew and Luke)
