Subtopic: Protecting Myself From Sexual Temptations (for age 9, Kenya)
What this means: Sexual temptations are feelings or situations that may make you want to do things that are not right for your age or that go against Godβs plans for you. We will learn how to protect ourselves in a safe, respectful way.
Why it is important π
- God wants us to keep our bodies safe and pure.
- Protecting yourself keeps you healthy, happy and respected by others.
- It helps you follow Christian values and learn to make good choices.
Practical ways to protect yourself π«
- Know your boundaries: Your body is special. Private parts are private β no one should touch them without a good reason (like a doctor with a parent present).
- Say no and walk away: If someone makes you uncomfortable, say βNo, stop!β and move to a safe place.
- Tell a trusted adult: Always tell your parent, guardian, teacher, Sunday school leader or another adult you trust as soon as possible.
- Avoid risky situations: Donβt go alone with someone who makes you feel uneasy. Stay where other people are and tell someone where you are going.
- Be careful online: Donβt share private pictures or personal information. Tell a parent or teacher if someone you meet online says or asks for things that make you uncomfortable.
- Choose good friends: Keep company with friends who respect you and follow Godβs ways.
- Pray and read the Bible: Ask God to help you when you feel confused or tempted. The Bible gives us good guidance for living well.

If you are in danger now
Call the emergency number 999 or 112, or find a nearby trusted adult immediately. Always tell a parent, teacher or the pastor if someone hurts you or makes you feel unsafe.
Remember: You are loved by God and by your family. It is okay to ask for help. You do not face temptations alone β ask God and trusted adults to walk with you. βοΈπ
