Subtopic: Family Relationships (Age 9, Kenya)
A family is a group of people who love, live with and care for one another. In Kenya, families can be small (nuclear) or big (extended) including grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family members and their roles
- Father: protects and provides; teaches right from wrong.
- Mother: cares, cooks, teaches and comforts children.
- Children: learn, help at home, obey and respect parents.
- Grandparents: give wisdom, tell stories and pray for the family.
- Siblings (brother/sister): play together, share and help each other.
