The Life of Jesus Christ — The Miracles of Jesus Christ

What is a miracle? ✨

A miracle is something amazing that only God can do. Jesus did miracles to show God's love and power. Miracles helped people believe in God and showed that Jesus is very special.

Some important miracles of Jesus (short and simple)
  • 🍷 Water turned to wine (John 2:1–11) — Jesus changed water into wine at a wedding. Meaning: Jesus cares about people and their needs.
  • 🍞🐟 Feeding the 5,000 (Matthew 14:13–21) — Jesus fed many people with a little bread and fish. Meaning: God can provide even when things look small.
  • 🌊 Walking on water (Matthew 14:22–33) — Jesus walked on the lake to help his friends. Meaning: Trust Jesus when you are afraid.
  • 👓 Healing a blind man (John 9) — A man who could not see was healed by Jesus. Meaning: Jesus brings light and hope.
  • 🤒 Healing the sick (e.g., Mark 1:29–34) — Jesus touched and healed many sick people. Meaning: Jesus has compassion for the sick.
  • 🕊️ Calming the storm (Mark 4:35–41) — Jesus stopped a strong storm. Meaning: Jesus brings peace when we are afraid.
  • 🪦 Raising Lazarus (John 11) — Jesus brought a man back to life. Meaning: Jesus has power over life and death.
Why did Jesus do miracles? 🤔
  • To show God's love and kindness.
  • To help people who were hurting.
  • To teach people to trust God (Mungu).
  • To prove that Jesus is sent by God.
Lessons for us (age 9) — How can miracles help us today?
  • Be kind and help others — Jesus helped people who were sad or sick.
  • Trust God when you are afraid — Jesus calmed the storm.
  • Share what you have — Jesus used a little to help many.
  • Pray for people who are sick or in need.

Short activity (for class or at home)
  1. Draw your favourite miracle of Jesus. Add two things you learned from it.
  2. Tell a friend or family member the lesson of the miracle you chose.
  3. Say the memory verse together with your class or family.
